The Greater Chattanooga Salvation Army sent 61 kids, ages 7-12, to Camp Paradise Valley on Dale Hollow Lake in Burkesville, Kentucky for a week of fun and memories.
Upon arrival, the campers will experience the beautiful countryside while hiking, swimming, boating and exploring the outdoors. Additionally, the campers will participate in Bible study as well as arts and crafts. For many of them, it’s the highlight of the whole year.
“Smoking for Jesus” Ministry Group Celebrates The Salvation Army Graduates of the East Lake Summer Day Camp!
The Salvation Army welcomes a ministry group, “Smoking for Jesus,” as they hold a celebration for the 34 graduates of the East Lake Corps and Community Center summer day camp on Friday, June 27. The graduation ceremony will take place at 10:30 a.m. and will be followed by a cookout at noon.
Each summer, The Salvation Army hosts a summer day camp for low-income children at the East Lake Corps and Community Center. Not only does the camp offer a fun-filled summer, but it also provides a safe place for the children to spend their time.
The Salvation Army School of Music and Arts (SOMA) invites the community to its free, spring graduation concert tonight, Tuesday, May 6th at 6:30 pm. The Concert location is The Salvation Army’s Citadel Corps & Community Center at 1019 North Moore Road across from Brainerd High School. The students, many of whom have never publicly performed, will proudly show off their newly learned skills.
