Once again, the time has come for us, as Christians, to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Easter is this Sunday, April 16, and The Salvation Army Chattanooga has events this weekend to help everyone celebrate this joyous time. This is a time of peace, love, and hope and we hope to see you this weekend!
On Saturday we will be having Easter Egg Hunts at two locations: The Citadel Corps and The East Lake Corps. The East Lake festivities is from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m., with the East egg hunt starting at 10 a.m. Then The Citadel festivities will begin an hour later, at 11 a.m. and continue until 2 p.m with the Easter egg hunt being at 1 p.m. Both events are free and open for all children under the age of 12. Salvation Army barrels will also be available for any non-perishable food donations that our community so desperately needs.
Then on Sunday, we have our traditional Easter Sunrise Service at the National Cemetery at 1200 Bailey Avenue beside the flag pole overlooking beautiful downtown Chattanooga. All are invited to come and worship our Savior as the sun rises over Chattanooga. The Service will begin at 7:08 a.m.
I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness. – John 12:46
