Salvation Army Extends Angel Tree Deadline With 43 Angels Still Needing Adoption!
The Salvation Army Angel Tree Program Deadline to adopt an Angel is now December 12. This deadline has been extended since there are still 43 Angels needing to be adopted and hundreds needing to be returned! The Salvation Army Angel Tree provides Christmas assistance for needy children, their families and senior citizens who would not otherwise receive gifts including necessities like food and warm clothing.
“We are asking the community to be really generous and shop for these last 43 Angels so everyone will have a wonderful Christmas,” said Major Teresa Newsome, Associate Area Commander. “We also need those who have adopted Angels to return those gifts as soon as they possibly can.”
Monetary donations are still needed to assist with all Christmas programs, including the Angel Tree. Donations can be placed in any of the Red Kettles, mailed to 822 McCallie Avenue, given online at http://www.csarmy.org or by calling 1-800-Sal-Army. Volunteers are still needed for Angel Tree distribution on December 16 and 17. Volunteers can sign up for a shift by clicking here.
