Today is Giving Tuesday and The Salvation Army Needs Your Help!
Today is a global day dedicated to giving back called Giving Tuesday. Founded in 2012, this comes after Black Friday and Cyber Monday to remind folks to give back to their communities and celebrate generosity. The Salvation Army of Greater Chattanooga hopes that with 544 Angels still needing to be adopted, neighbors will celebrate Giving Tuesday by adopting Angels from The Salvation Army Angel Trees located in each area mall or give to the Red Kettles throughout the city.
“When you hear the bell at our kettles, may it be a reminder to give today,” says Major Algerome Newsome, Greater Chattanooga Salvation Army’s Area Commander. “We at The Salvation Army celebrate our generous community today especially on Giving Tuesday and it is our hope they will continue to be generous and adopt Angels off our Angel Trees and give to the Red Kettles.”
Monetary donations may still be made for the Angel Tree program by being mailed to The Salvation Army, 822 McCallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN, 37403, by calling 1-800-Sal-Army or visiting csarmy.org. For more information you can visit us on the web at www.csarmy.org.
