The Salvation Army Continues To Serve Residents Displaced By The Jaycee Towers Fire
The Salvation Army of Greater Chattanooga continues to serve residents displaced by the fire at J.C. Towers on Monday. Through breakfast today, The Salvation Army has served 243 meals, 322 snacks and 318 drinks, and will serve lunch and dinner today at the South Side Recreation Center.
Kimberly George, Salvation Army Incident Commander, says, “We would like to thank our volunteers and our partnering agencies. Together we are ‘doing the most good’ to meet the needs of the displaced residents.”
As of last night’s count, the Red Cross states 62 residents are being sheltered. The Salvation Army will continue to serve with the Red Cross to help meet the needs of the evacuees through today, and beyond as needed.
