The Salvation Army’s ReCreate Cafe Announces Psalms of the City!

The Salvation Army of Chattanooga’s 614’s Corps’ ReCreate Café is looking for artists to participate in Psalms of the City on April 20 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm located at The Salvation Army, 800 McCallie Avenue.  Psalms of the City is an Arts Festival for the whole City in which Artists are invited to display their visual, musical, or performance art that is inspired by the Psalms.  This festival seeks to promote hope and unity in Chattanooga and any person, regardless of economic status, housing situation, education, or age, is encouraged to be involved.

Artists from all disciplines and experience levels are invited to contribute their talents and energies to this event.  To participate, artists need to communicate their intent to participate to Tenika Dye at 423-305-6208 or by April 15.  The Festival portion of Psalms of the City will take place at the ReCreate Café on April 20, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm.  There is no fee to participate in Psalms of the City.

The Psalms of City will be capped off with a concert at 7:30 pm.  A local favorite, The Mailboxes, made up of students from Lee University, will be opening.  Then John Tibbs, who has played with Gungor, Jenny and Tyler, and Tenth Avenue North will take the stage.  For ticket information please contact Tenika Dye.
