The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Registration Starts in 3 weeks!
Fall weather is here which means Angel Tree Registration is right around the corner! In three short weeks, we will begin to register families for the Angel Tree Program in Chattanooga and Cleveland. Last year, we were able to assist 4,813 angels and we expect even more this year. Volunteers are needed to help during our Angel Tree Registration. Dates: October 23-25, October 29- November 2, and November 5-7
Time: 9 am – 3 pm; Thursdays 12 pm – 7 pm
Locations: Chattanooga– Salvation Army Warehouse 5001 Covington Street (Off of Rossville Blvd.)
Cleveland- Mt. Olive Church of God, located at 956 6th Street NE. Appointment only by calling 423-308-3467.
Families at or below the poverty line with children 12 years of age or younger and seniors 60 years of age and older are invited to register for our Angel Tree program. In order to qualify, applicants must meet income guidelines and not be receiving aid from other Christmas programs.
Angel Tree applicants must bring the following to registration:
- Valid Photo I.D. for all adults in the household
- Birth certificates for each child
- Proof of residence must bring the following in the applicant’s name: current lease/rental agreement or utility bill/phone bill from September or October 2012
- Proof of eligibility must bring the following in the applicant’s name: section 8/hud lease documents, Medicaid eligibility letter, food stamps reward letter.
If you do not receive the above government assistance, please bring proof of your monthly expenses and all income sources including: paycheck stubs or unemployment documentation.
