The Salvation Army and the Nehemiah Project Join Forces to Deliver Over 3,000 Backpacks to Local Students!
Nothing is as sweet as a smile on a child’s face. This morning, I was blessed to see dozens of smiling faces 🙂
Today, The Salvation Army joined the Nehemiah Project and local churches to deliver more than 3,000 back packs to Chattanooga public school students in their classrooms.
Without this project, many students would go without. But thanks to the Nehemiah Project’s 12th annual distribution, every student in Hamilton County’s eight Title 1 schools received a back pack filled with needed school supplies.
Each bag contained a pack of paper, a ruler, Crayola crayons, a dozen #2 pencils, 2 glue sticks, 1 pencil sharpener, colored pencils and a flyer with Salvation Army information. New Testaments were also part of the distribution.
